Lift-off flyscreens are one of the cheaper alternatives to roller-flyscreens or sliding ones. They can be fitted to the majority of windows around today and can be adapted to suit the older type of windows.
There are two types of lift-off screens…the hinged-type, where you can lift the screen off the hinges for cleaning / storing or there are the turnbutton-type, where the screens are attached by small buttons and can be removed for access if necessary.
Hinged flyscreen – standard colour is white, but they can come in any colour you like for an additional cost. Older windows (with stays) can have hinged screens with bristle strip fitted to the bottom of the screen.
Flyscreens can also be attached with turnbuttons so you can remove them in winter time. Turnbuttons are normally used on screens which cover sash windows or where screens have to be fitted outside (easy removal for window cleaners)
